Computer Repair Colwyn Bay - Computer not powering up.
A Customer from Colwyn bay recently brought in his computer for repair. The fault was that it was not powering up properly. When he pressed the power button the machine would spin its fans then cut off. It was an older machine running Windows XP and it was mainly used for e-mail.
In the repair workshop we tested the power supply and although this tested fine we did notice a rather odd smell coming from the machine. Our technicians started to dismantle the machine to try to find out what was damaged and when they removed the customers old Dial Up Modem they were rather surprised to find the remains of a small lizard, slightly charred, welded to the back of the modem!
We tested the remaining parts of the pc and put it all back together without the modem and the machine came to life.
We still havent been able to work out how the lizard got in there but we were able to return the computer to the customer fully repaired and working.
