Helping a customer to get wireless internet in her new office.
Computer World were asked to visit a customer who was unable to connect her new Windows 8 laptop to her BT Home Hub.
Our on site technicians checked the signal strength from the router and discovered that there was little to no wireless signal available in the customers new office.
After presenting a few different options we decided that the most suitable course of action would be to supply and install a wireless repeater. These are great little gadgets that are placed in between your main router and the problem area and when set up they recieve the signal from your router and re-broadcast it.
We chose a suitable location for the repeater and after setting it up we checked the signal strength in the customers office and found it to be nice and healthy. Our customer's laptop was able to connect and browse the internet.
We were at the customers home for a little over an hour and the next day we recieved an e-mail from her thanking us for the work done.
