Windows 8 Update, start button?
Windows 8 will they or wont they? It’s the question many people are asking in the next batch of Windows 8 Updates will Microsoft finally give in and give us all what we want, our Start button.
There no doubt Windows 8 is a stable operating system that has many enhancements, but the biggest flaw that most users complain about is not what they’ve added is what they’ve taken away the desktop as we have known and loved for many years.
This is a rather frustrating and costly issue for business users. With every major change in user interface comes wasted time by staff trying to find even the simplest of options. For example the amount of support calls when Microsoft Office 2007 was released asking us ‘Wheres the print button!’. If you multiply the amount of wasted time and frustration The Windows 8 User interface has caused by the amount of employees of a business, the problem looks more serious than you would first think.
Hopefully Microsoft will give us the update we all want and then Computer World can breathe a sigh of relief and be able offer our business customers a simple and straight forward upgrade path.
